Anyway (I hope you'll forgive me, if I seem to be too tedious), I don't see any uv-b source.. can it be found, maybe, in one of the lamps hanging over the terraria?

There is a UV lamp, but you don't see it. It's more than a half meter from the terrarium top (osram ultra vitalux).

tim ti ha risposto e usa gli uv,però ti posso dire che io sui miei parsonii non ho mai usato lampade uv,anche se bisogna precisare che tra maggio e ottobre sono alloggiati fuori.

Thank You for the explanation, Tim (I supposed it was something like this: moreover, it's quite evident that such a powerful lamp must be reasonably spaced from the top of the terraria...).

@Franklin: grazie per la dritta: ammetto peraltro la mia sconfinata ignoranza camaleontesca (o camaleontica), sicché pensavo che anche con loro si usasse un certo apporto di uv-b... Però: da maggio a ottobre... mica niente..

Vanni, if the lamp would be to close to the animals it would burn them (it's an 300W bulb). I use it only once a week for half an hour.

diciamo che i parsonii sono un mondo a parte rispetto agli altri cama,infatti la regola è il classico tubo 5.0(non compatte e non oltre 5.0 perchè comunque i cama sono animali dal basso fabbisogno di uv,e lampade troppo potenti possono creare problemi).

nel mio caso specifico ricordo che appena preso i miei due parsonii,due anni fa,chiudevano gl'occhi,spenta il neon han iniziato a tenerli aperti.non so se sia stato un caso,ma ho continuato ad allevarli senza neon per tutto l'inverno e problemi non ne hanno avuti,ovviamente prestando attenzione alle integrazioni e senza calcare troppo la mano sulle dosi d'insetti,per evitare una crescita troppo repentina.e questo è stato il primo inverno,nel successivo,visto che mi ero trovato bene così,ho continuato con lo stesso sistema.

Yes, I got them in Hamm, they are a friends breeding. I don't know the sexes, I'm far from an expert of sexing young parsonii. They are both green and I never saw that green babies, so it could be that both are females, but as I said, it's only guessing. One animal seems to have a very small rostral protuberance, we will see how they develop.

Some say they are way's to sex them very young, other deny this. We will see how they turn out, I go for 1.1. But 0.2 would be better for me.
